We cant wait to see you at the 75th Annual California Association of Harbor Masters and Port Captains Training Conference and Trade Show for three days of interaction, learning, exchanging information and of course, we’ll throw in a significant dose of fun!

May contain: mansion, building, housing, house, downtown, town, urban, city, palace, architecture, monastery, and metropolis

We are working on the line-up for this year’s conference which will feature expert presenters who will encourage discussion and problem solving, while providing informative sessions that will help you and your organization. We will also have some behind-the-scenes glimpses of Sacramento, visits with legislators and regulatory agencies, incredible exhibits by our favorite trade members, and some great food and socializing opportunities.

As an enticement to attend, we will be featuring experts at the conference who can provide you and your staff with helpful information on navigating sea level rise accommodation to preparing a competitive grant proposal; from how to best access and reach your legislators to dealing with conflict in the workplace. Presentations from the Division of Boating and Waterways, California Coastal Commission, and other pertinent groups will be featured as well as an audience participation session on some of your “hot topics”.

Don’t miss the kick-off reception on the evening of Monday, May 22nd for an early opportunity to get together with your friends and colleagues to enjoy Hors D’oeuvres, catch up and unwind before activities begin on Wednesday morning.

During the training sessions, you can discuss upcoming harbor projects and find innovative solutions to persistent problems by taking the time to visit the conference sponsors and vendors in the Trade Show area in the hotel. They always share the latest technological advancements and help you find money-saving ways to get things done at your facility.

There will also be numerous “Call of the Ports” sessions where you can discuss your latest challenges or accomplishments and get feedback from your peers. We will include the same opportunities for our trade show exhibitors to also present to the attendees during these sessions.

May contain: building, shop, metropolis, urban, city, town, and hotel

The Sheraton Grand Sacramento is extending special rates for conference attendees both before and after the conference dates.   You may tour the California State Capital; a five-minute walk from the host hotel, or a 15-minute walk to Old Sacramento, with all its attractions and restaurants. Old Sacramento is the riverfront historic district, with Gold Rush-era buildings, cobblestone streets, and horse-drawn carriages. It’s home to numerous museums, including the Sacramento History Museum and the state Railroad Museum, which offers excursion train rides.

Sacramento is the Farm-to-Fork Capitol of California. Local restaurants utilize the abundance of regionally grown products to create a Farm-to-Fork freshness that’s unparalleled. Whether you’re enjoying a burger or an elegant dinner, local ingredients are on the table.

This being the 75th anniversary of the California Association of Harbor Masters and Port Captains, the Board of Directors is extending an invitation to our fellow association members across the nation to join us at the discounted member rate.
